Greetings Friends,

I created different substack sites with different intentions and scopes. While some content might appear to overlap, it is only because they are all an extensions of my own life and experiences. This article is to help clarify how they differ from each other.

“Tears Of Gratitude” is my personal substack site where you will find posts that cover a wide variety of topics, news, announcements, anecdotes, insights and opinions. For example, in the archives of this site you will find interviews I did with my brother, Norio, where we discuss and his struggles and eventual success in healing his cancer through the use of a Keto type diet. The latest post on this site asks, “Did Michio Kushi Levititate?”, which offers unique insights into that time when my father demonstrated and taught how to levitate.

Articles on “Tears of Gratitude” are not posted on a regular schedule. All new articles posted on “Tears Of Gratitude” are free and do not require a subscription to view and read them. This substack site is devoted exclusively to “The Teachings Of Michio And Aveline Kushi”. Here you will find links to video and audio recordings to lectures by Michio and Aveline Kushi as well as a library of out of print materials including issues of the “Order Of The Universe Magazine” (1967-1981) and (in the future), Seminar Reports, and Kushi Institute Study Guides. There are also photos and other materials specifically related to Michio and Aveline’s work and legacy. Please note that you will not find the teachings of others macrobiotic leaders here. Any rare recordings and teachings by Georges Ohsawa are posted on the “Tears Of Gratitude” substack.

This substack site is in development and only contains a few articles so far. At present it contains articles relating specifically to insights and lessons learned about macrobiotic teachings. I hope to use this site to eventually offer everything I know and have learned about macrobiotics, life and the universe. In the future I hope offer live online discussions and video lessons.

4. The Rise And Fall Of Kushi Macrobiotics

This is the future site of a personal memoir on the legacy of my parents and their influence on the world. The articles will be presented in book and chapter format and will have a beginning, middle and end and will be told entirely from my perspective as their son, business assistant, and staff and manager of several of their businesses including at Erewhon Natural Foods, the Open Sesame Restaurant, the East West Foundation and the Kushi Institute and Foundation over a period of fifty plus years.
